The Rupal Face of Nanga Parbat with the House/Anderson route shown.

The camps (five) are all marked with an "x". The base of the route (where the glacier begins) is at about 4,000 meters(13,100 feet) and the summit is at 8,125 meters(26,660). This gives the face an amazing vertical gain of over 4,000 meters(13,000 feet)! It is considered by many to be the largest relief on earth.
