Dan Hehir skiing down the upper ramp of "Snake Couloir" on the North Face of Mount Sneffels. The angle of the slope here was 45-50º; just below it got a bit steeper and narrower. In April, we found nice, powder conditions which made for much more fun skiing on such a steep angle. Often, a short rappel is necessary to enter the couloir from the summit. This day there was enough snow in the upper couloir that we were able to reach the ramp with only a little down climbing.
