The art of mountain guiding is a profession to be taken seriously. Vince Anderson and Steve House, partners and guides of Skyward Mountaineering, have undergone extensive training and examination culminating in their achievements IFMGA certifications. This internationally recognized standard is the highest level of certification available to professional mountain guides. As well, they are certified by the American Mountain Guides’ Association as Alpine Guides, Rock Guides, and Ski Mountaineering Guides. They both hold a Level III Avalanche certification, and are also certified as Wilderness First Responders.

Vince lives in Grand Junction, Colorado, north of the Northern San Juan Mountains and just east of the Colorado Plateau desert. From here, one can access an endless playground offering virtually year round rock and ice climbing, mountaineering, and skiing.
