Grand Junction Regional Airport offers convenient daily flights and is only a 1.5hr drive from downtown Moab. It is also possible to fly into Salt Lake City International Airport (4hr drive) and rent a vehicle to drive down to Moab.

A personal or rental car is necessary as many of the climbing areas around Moab are spread out and in remote areas. 2WD is acceptable, most roads to the standard climbing areas are well maintained. Moab is also a very popular area for off-roading and rental jeeps or OHVs are easily available in town if you want to try out a rest day of mechanized adventure.

There are lots of hotels in Moab for varying price ranges. There are also plentiful established BLM campgrounds dispersed throughout the Moab zone. Most campgrounds are available for reservation on recreation.gov
