Avalanche rescue Course

Sign up for our 1-day AIARE Avalanche Rescue Course and learn best practices for preparing for and initiating an efficient team rescue during an avalanche accident. This course is designed as an auxiliary program to our 3-day Avalanche Level 1 course and can be taken in conjunction with it, as a separate course for bonus learning, or as a refresher before each season. Our low-ratio avalanche rescue course is a great way to help skiers, snowboarders, snowshoers, snowmobiler, ice climbers, or any other winter recreationalist feel confident and become a responsible partner while playing in a snowy mountain environment.

Learn Efficient Avalanche Rescue Techniques with professional instruction

Skyward Mountaineering’s Avalanche Rescue Course is a 1-day specialized course to teach winter recreationalists strategies to prepare for Level 1 curriculum emphasizes practical skill development and clear decision frameworks. Upon successful completion of the AIARE 1, students receive a Recreational Level 1 certification and may progress to more advanced avy courses. Skyward Mountaineering’s AIARE Avalanche Rescue Course is a 1-day, scenario-based course. This course is intended to be retaken on a regular basis so the skills remain fresh and up-to-date with best practices and modern equipment. Practicing avalanche rescue skills is a crucial part of being a reliable backcountry ski partner and having the opportunity to receive professional coaching is an invaluable asset.
