It was an incredibly busy start to the ice season in the Cimarrons but winter storms have finally arrived to SW Colorado and this area is now only accessible via skis or snowmobile. Beware of high avalanche hazard on many of the routes in the West or Middle Fork. At the time of the last update most routes in the Cimarrons were in excellent condition with plentiful options for those willing to put in the effort.
