Beginner to intermediate mountaineering courses built around progression as an alpinist.
No prerequisites required for Intro to Mountaineering course. Climbers must have previous mountaineering background for our intermediate level, Fundamentals of Winter Alpinism course.
Mountaineering courses vary in length and can be combined with additional days of private instruction and guided climbing.
The Intro To Mountaineering course is on Mount Baker, Washington. The Fundamentals of Winter Alpinism course is in Ouray, Colorado.

Mountaineering is a progression. Each of our courses builds on the skills you develop along the way, giving you the experience and confidence to take on increasingly technical objectives. Start with the fundamentals, develop your rock climbing systems, add ice and mixed climbing skills, and ultimately put it all together on a challenging alpine climb or international expedition.
