Micah Lewkowitz

Co-Owner/Guide

Skyward Mountaineering guide, Micah Lewkowitz is smiling wearing a white helmet and blue jacket with a rocky cliff in the background.

Micah is a passionate climber and guide who enjoys helping climbers in their progression and sharing some of the more off-the-beaten-path mountain routes. He is an AMGA certified Rock and Alpine Guide, Instructor Team member and holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Outdoor Education and Psychology from the University of Massachusetts. He lives in Ridgway, Colorado at the foot of San Juan mountains in a home that he is proud to have built, ground-up alongside of his wife, Hilary and father-in-law. It's from this location that Micah is now able to climb rock, ice, and mountains year-round.

He has been guiding since 2006, started an independent guide service, Splitter Alpine Adventures in 2019 and merged with Vince Anderson becoming a co-owner of Skyward Mountaineering in spring 2024. When Micah isn't guiding he enjoys sport climbing, trail running and watching cliché romantic comedys and/or horror movies, and listening to rap music loudly.
