Unaweep Canyon is one of Western Colorado's best destinations for granite rock climbing, with everything from beginner friendly toproping to multipitch routes with excellent crack climbing and technical face climbing. Just a short drive from Grand Junction, the canyon offers an ideal setting for learning to climb outside, developing efficient crack climbing techniques, progressing toward challenging multipitch objectives, or learning how to lead trad. Toproping and multipitch granite rock climbing, with techy face climbing and crack climbing routes. Routes range in difficulty from 5.6 to 5.12.
Beginner to intermediate difficulty, there are introductory toprope routes for novice climbers, moderate multipitch routes for adventure seekers and challenging single and multipitch routes for advanced climbers.

The best climbing season is from March - June and September - November, though it’s also possible to climb on shady aspects during the summer months.

Guide's Route (5.8+, 6 pitches)
A long, moderate route that provides an excellent introduction to multipitch granite climbing in Unaweep Canyon. The route combines crack climbing of various sizes and face climbing with comfortable belay stances and good exposure on the crux pitch.
Sweet Sunday Serenade (5.9, 4 Pitches)
Excellent finger crack and technical climbing, this is the classic route on the Sunday Wall. Solid granite, great exposure, and thoughtful climbing movement, this route is a ton of fun. As a bonus, there are two variations to the final pitch, so it’s possible to get a bonus lap on alternate finish for extra mileage.
Obe Won Canobe (5.9+, 3 Pitches)
Hand jams and offwidth, this blue-collar route is a lot of fun. Tucked a bit further into the Hidden Valley, it’s still. an easy, short approach but less crowded than other routes at Sunday Wall.
Questions & Answers (5.10+, 3 Pitches)
An amazing route with challenging crack climbing over steep terrain, this is one of the best routes in Unaweep Canyon. Pull through a tricky roof and engaging stemming in a dihedral, this route packs a punch and is well worth it.
